Launch of IRENA report Renewable energy prospects for Central and South Eastern Europe Energy Connectivity Initiative (CESEC)
The Kingdom of Eswatini’s government and IRENA held a festive launch event for the national Eswatini Energy Masterplan 2034 that was developed as result of the joint Energy Planning Capacity-Building Programme.
IRENA jointly with the Department of Renewable Energy of the Ministry of Economic Affairs of Bhutan Government, launched the Renewable Readiness Assessment (RRA) for the Kingdom of Bhutan.
The event brought together renewable energy stakeholders in the Republic of Moldova, for the launch of the RRA report and discussion on potential follow-up activities building on the recommendations of the report.

Following a presentation on the findings of the IRENA Coalition for Action white paper Stimulating Investment in Community Energy, a panel discussion was held to discuss how policies can be designed to value citizen participation, current experiences in the implementation of financing instruments to support community energy, and examples of initiatives that have successfully mobilized financing to deploy renewable energy projects benefitting citizens and communities. The event served as a platform to highlight a number of important topics relevant to renewable energy development in El Salvador amongst government officials, partners and other stakeholders to promote the implementation of the recommendations made in the RRA report. The session built on the insights from IRENA’s analysis, including the linkage between the set of five key thematic areas to be carried out beyond the RRA and the enhancement of El Salvador’s nationally determined contributions (NDCs).
The event convened stakeholders from across sectors to discuss challenges and concrete measures needed to scale-up renewables adoption in the agriculture sector, while advancing a joint approach to the energy transition and the transformation of agri-food systems to meet the Sustainable Development Goals and the Paris Agreement.
The Global Clean Energy Action Forum (GCEAF) was a joint convening of the 13th Clean Energy Ministerial (CEM13) and 7th Mission Innovation Ministerial (MI-7).

IRENA launched its Renewables Readiness Assessment Pakistan report, conducted jointly with Pakistan's Alternative Energy Development Board, in the hope of broadening engagement with stakeholders, including governmental agencies, sub-national governmental authorities, industries, academic institutions, and the key development partners in the potential follow-up initiatives building on the key findings and recommendations in the report. Following the RRA Launch, an IRENA delegation visited the South Asian Association for Regional Cooperation Energy Centre to discuss bilateral co-operation.
