      Global Launch of Tracking SDG 7: The Energy Progress Report

      The event brought together renewable energy stakeholders in the Republic of Moldova, for the launch of the RRA report and discussion on potential follow-up activities building on the recommendations of the report.

      IRENA Policy Talk 4 – Stimulating Investment in Community Energy

      The fourth IRENA Policy Talk focused on citizen-led renewable energy projects – commonly referred to as “community energy” – and their potential to support an inclusive energy transition. Following a presentation on the findings of the IRENA Coalition for Action white paper Stimulating Investment in Community Energy, a panel discussion was held to discuss how policies can be designed to value citizen participation, current experiences in the implementation of financing instruments to support community energy, and examples of initiatives that have successfully mobilized financing to deploy renewable energy projects benefitting citizens and communities.       Launch RRA El Salvador

      This virtual event featured the official launch of the RRA El Salvador. The event served as a platform to highlight a number of important topics relevant to renewable energy development in El Salvador amongst government officials, partners and other stakeholders to promote the implementation of the recommendations made in the RRA report. The session built on the insights from IRENA’s analysis, including the linkage between the set of five key thematic areas to be carried out beyond the RRA and the enhancement of El Salvador’s nationally determined contributions (NDCs).
