Policies targeting the deployment of charging infrastructure for heavy-duty trucks arestarting to emerge in many regions. These include the planning of pilot charging corridors and grants and subsidies to deploy pilot charging stations.
Examples and initiatives
The EU has established the Alternative Fuels Infrastructure Regulation with the objective of installing electric recharging stations with a minimum output of 350 kW for heavy-duty vehicles along the Trans-European Transport Network by 2030 (EC, 2023b).
