IRENA video contest gives young people a voice in the energy transition and the opportunity to take part in IRENA’s 2021 Youth Forum

The Agency launched IRENA Youth Talk — a series of webinars aimed at strengthening the Agency’s engagement with the youth, amplifying their voice and actions in supporting renewables, achieving climate stability, and advancing the sustainable development agenda.

The event presented the status and outlook of offshore renewable energy technologies and markets, the latest trends and developments from the incumbent industry and private sector.

IRENA, in collaboration with EACREEE, and SACREEE, has organised a two day capacity building workshop to share IRENA’s framework and insights regarding renewable energy auctions, and considerations, best practices, lessons learnt and specific case studies, with a focus on the Sub-Saharan Africa context.

This side event held at the Eighth session of the IRENA Assembly, shared the best practices in assuring quality PV systems based on experts’ experience as well as the Agency’s tools and guidelines.

The first online Renewables Talk webinar provided an update of IRENA's activities and focused on the recently launched IRENA’s first Global Renewables Outlook: Energy Transformation 2050.

This event conducted jointly with the Private Financing Advisory Network (PFAN) comprised the launch of the Sustainable Energy Marketplace for Asia and brought together regional finance and project development professionals to meet, share ideas and take concrete steps on viable projects identified as being in need of project finance, project development and risk management support.
