In light of the government’s commitment to advance renewable energy deployment in the Republic of Moldova, the Ministry of Economy and Infrastructure in cooperation with IRENA recently initiated a Renewables Readiness Assessment (RRA) process to support the country’s efforts in strengthening the enabling environment for renewable energy deployment.
In this context, a series of consultations have been organized to obtain feedback from local and international stakeholders, including the Expert Consultation Workshop, which took place on 4 June 2018. In an effort to continue the constructive exchange and to consolidate the recommendations identified throughout the process, the RRA Validation Workshop was organized on 15 October. The meeting brought together more than 60 renewable energy experts from the Republic of Moldova, including representatives of development partners. The outcomes of this workshop will feed into the final RRA report for the Republic of Moldova.
