Renewables Readiness Assessment Expert Consultation Workshop

In light of the government’s commitment to advance renewable energy deployment in the Republic of Moldova, the Ministry of Economy and Infrastructure in cooperation with IRENA recently initiated a Renewables Readiness Assessment (RRA) process, with a view to support the country’s efforts in strengthening the enabling environment for renewable energy deployment.

In this context, the RRA Expert Consultation Workshop brought together around 70 renewable energy stakeholders from the Republic of Moldova, including representatives of development partners, to discuss challenges and opportunities for the development of renewables in the country and preliminary recommendations on the required actions to ensure favorable conditions for the sector. The outcomes of the discussions will provide substantive inputs for the preparations of the RRA report. The workshop was jointly organised by IRENA and the Ministry of Economy and Infrastructure.
