IRENA in collaboration with UK COP26 Presidency, has organized a series of Regional Expert Meetings on Climate Change, Enhanced NDCs’ and Renewable Energy Deployment.

The workshop brought together large number of relevant stakeholders to discuss challenges and opportunities for the development of renewables and energy transition in Bosnia and Herzegovina.

IRENA, in collaboration with its partners, has organized a two day capacity building workshop to share IRENA’s framework and insights regarding renewable energy auctions, and considerations, best practices, lessons learnt and specific case studies, with a focus on the Arab context.

In the framework of country-level support for revisions of NDCs under the CAEP delivered by the NDC partnership, IRENA supports the government of Niger through a targeted capacity building program on long-term energy planning.

This virtual event aimed to present the case study of renewable energy auctions in Colombia and at the same time, provide a platform for stakeholders in Latin America and the Caribbean to learn about the different elements for the design of renewable energy auctions, while identifying challenges, opportunities and the way forward in the national and regional efforts to decarbonize the energy sector and the path to a net-zero-carbon energy future.
