REmap Dominican Republic report launch

In the early 2016 the Dominican Republic government, through its National Energy Commission (CNE), requested IRENA to prepare a REmap study with an aim to explore the potential difference renewables could make to achieve the country’s energy policy and objectives to 2030 and beyond.

This study is relevant for the Dominican’s Republic government and policy makers but will also consider the participation of the private sector and academic institutions, with the objective to achieve a wide spread dissemination of the opportunities for renewable energy development.

The main REmap results and findings were presented in Santo Domingo in a report launch event with an Executive Summary available in English and Spanish versions.

The full REmap report was published in November 2016.
