The event convened stakeholders from across sectors to discuss challenges and concrete measures needed to scale-up renewables adoption in the agriculture sector, while advancing a joint approach to the energy transition and the transformation of agri-food systems to meet the Sustainable Development Goals and the Paris Agreement.

The report analyses the current renewable energy finance and policy landscape in the Republic of North Macedonia, identifies specific barriers and associated risks which can hold back private-sector investment in renewable energy, and provides recommendations on policy frameworks and financial de-risking instruments to scale up renewable energy investments.

This webinar presented main findings of the new report, with a view toward the motivations and objectives that compel cities to act; the variety of drivers that either enable or constrain cities’ actions and thus influence what they can do; and the policy tools they can apply. Shaped by these factors, cities can play a multitude of roles.

The session aimed at providing policymakers and urban energy planners with an understanding of the policy options, technical solutions, and examples that can support the development of the renewable energy sector at a city-level.

The virtual event featured the official launch of the Renewables Readiness Assessment (RRA) Jordan. The event served as a platform to highlight a number of important topics relevant to renewable energy development in Jordan amongst government officials, partners and other stakeholders to promote the implementation of the recommendations made in the RRA report.
