IRENA welcomes Lebanon as a Member

The number of States joining IRENA is growing. This reflects the need for a transition towards a strengthened use of renewable energy. Today, Lebanon has joined the Agency. IRENA´s Statute was signed by the Ambassador of Lebanon in Germany, Mr. Ramez Dimechkié, at the German Foreign Office in Berlin in the presence of Mr. Viktor Elbling, Deputy Director-General responsible for International Energy Policy, Globalization and Sustainable Development. Lebanon has become the 81st Member of IRENA.
