Georgia and the Republic of Cameroon sign the Statute

The Agency welcomes Signatory States No. 109 and 110 on 24 June 2009
Today, two more States joined IRENA. Shortly before the second session of the Preparatory Commission in Sharm El-Sheikh, Egypt, the Chargé d´Affaires a.i. of the Georgian Embassy to Germany, Mr. Giorgi Tabatadze, and the Ambassador of the Republic of Cameroon in Germany, H.E. Jean Marc Mpay, signed IRENA´s Founding Treaty. Mr. Thomas Meister, Head of Division for International Energy Policy at the German Federal Foreign Office, was present at the signings. IRENA now has 110 Signatories and more States are expected to sign in the near future.
