Climate Investment Platform Webinar

The Climate Investment Platform (CIP) is an initiative of the International Renewable Energy Agency (IRENA), with a mandate to increase capital mobilisation and renewable energy impact investing in developing countries. It is a demand-driven platform that facilitates the development and scale-up of renewable energy technologies through tailored technical assistance for projects, in addition to facilitating access to finance.

The webinar was set out to provide applicants with an overview of the mechanics of the CIP, how to effectively submit an application, expounding on the assessment criteria and the type of support provided, and subsequently the matchmaking process with CIP partners. Renewable energy project developers and proponents from both public and private stakeholders were invited to attend the webinar.
