FNC-IRENA joint Parliamentary Forum

In the context of the 2018 IRENA Legislators Forum, the IRENA partnered with the Federal National Council (FNC) to convene participants of the Legislators Forum to a joint FNC-IRENA Parliamentary Forum at the FNC on Thursday 11 January 2018.

Discussions were framed around the legal and institutional frameworks to engage the private sector in the implementation of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), and SDG7 in particular. A specific focus was also placed on the food-energy nexus to illustrate the interlinkages between energy access and other SDGs, and on the latest trends and developments in bioenergy.
