15th World Wind Energy Conference and Exhibition

15th World Wind Energy Conference and Exhibition (WWEC2016) focused on wind power technology and approaches of how to further increase the global wind power capacity of 435 GW in the world based on engineering as well as social science. WWEA and the WWEC2016 Tokyo Organizing Committee invited the wind power community around the world to join and to make the benefits of wind power available for all.

IRENA launched its 3rd title in the Innovation Outlook series, Innovation Outlook: Off-shore wind in time for the conference. The report shows how policy and technological breakthroughs can move the development of this key renewable energy technology forward. Previous titles focused on Advanced Liquid Biofuels and Renewable mini-grids.
