Leaders of the ‘Accelerated Partnership for Renewables in Africa’ (APRA) gathered at the COP28 in Dubai today to drive a resilient and inclusive green growth in Africa through renewables.
APRA, the Accelerated Partnership for Renewables in Africa, was one of the main areas of focus at “Africa's Green Momentum: Harnessing Renewables for Industrialisation”, a high-level event on the second day of COP29 organised by Kenya, IRENA and the NDC Partnership.

The second APRA Investment Forum (IF) is being co-hosted by the Government of Sierra Leone and the International Renewable Energy Agency (IRENA) in Freetown, Sierra Leone, on 22-23 October 2025, to accelerate the development and implementation of energy transition projects across APRA member countries.
