IRENA Innovation Week 2023: Summary report

The International Renewable Energy Agency’s (IRENA) Innovation Week 2023, held in Bonn on 25-28 September 2023, brought together leading policy makers, innovators and industry experts from across IRENA’s diverse global membership under the theme, “Renewable solutions to decarbonise end-use sectors”.

Building on previous editions in 2016, 2018 and 2020, Innovation Week 2023 aimed to both inspire and inform decision makers by showcasing emerging renewable-based solutions from around the world, while also exploring the actions required to fully unlock the potential of renewables in end-use sectors.

The 2023 edition was informed by IRENA’s recent flagship report, Innovation landscape for smart electrification. The digital interactive version of which was launched at Innovation Week 2023.
