Scheduled alongside the APEC Energy Ministerial Meeting and World Climate Industry Expo 2025, the 16th Clean Energy Ministerial and 10th Mission Innovation meeting (CEM16/MI-10) will take place from 25th to 27th August 2025 in Busan, Republic of Korea. The three-day programme will gather high-level policymakers, industry leaders, and key stakeholders from the Asia-Pacific and beyond for dialogue, knowledge-sharing, and strategic collaboration focused on scalable clean energy solutions and accelerating the global clean energy transition.

Co-organised by Australia and IRENA, this event will explore how diversified supply chains serve as a global public good, enhancing energy security and reducing market volatility. Bringing together representatives from government, industry, and international organisations, discussions will focus on moving from risk management to opportunity creation, encouraging collaborative supply chain improvements that support shared prosperity and long-term resilience.

The event will examine enabling environments that foster clean energy innovation in EMDEs and take stock of existing cooperation models with the aims to identify collaboration opportunities, outline actionable pathways for scaling impactful initiatives.

Co-organised by Canada’s G7 Presidency, and IRENA, this high-level event will address data interoperability, digital infrastructure investment, public-private innovation ecosystems and integration into energy planning processes. Recognising the diverse starting points of energy systems across advanced economies and in EMDEs, the panel will explore how digitalisation can support leapfrogging traditional infrastructure, enhance remote energy access, and improve mini-grid management, among others.
