2nd Global Dialogue under the Sharm El-sheikh Mitigation Ambition and Implementation Work Programme

In November 2021, Parties established a work programme to urgently scale up mitigation ambition and implementation in this critical decade in a manner that complements the global stocktake.

The second global dialogue under the Sharm el-Sheikh Mitigation Ambition and Implementation Work Programme (MWP). The event addressed the theme of accelerating just energy transition in transport systems. Following the structure of the first global dialogue, participants discussed opportunities and actionable solutions, as well as barriers and challenges, in the transport sector.

The event was hosted by COP28 Presidency in Abu Dhabi. Abu Dhabi Global Markets, International Renewable Energy Agency, and United Nations Conference on Trade and Development provided instrumental support in its organization.
