Sixth Meeting of the Collaborative Framework on Hydropower

The Collaborative Framework on Hydropower serves as an effective vehicle for dialogue, co-operation and coordinated action to ensure the continued deployment of hydropower in benefit of the global renewable energy transformation. Since June 2020, five virtual meetings of the Collaborative Framework on Hydropower have been held.

Building on the momentum and the knowledge gathered from previous meetings, IRENA organized a Sixth Virtual Meeting of the Collaborative Framework. The meeting welcomed the participation of Technical Focal Points from Members, as well as other stakeholders. The meeting served to discuss the results of the thematic scope survey shared with the Membership and helped define the Framework’s scope and workplan for the biennium. The meeting also allowed the co-facilitators, Canada and Zimbabwe, to present on their current hydropower landscapes, including their current challenges, solutions and priorities.

Attendance was by invitation only.
