Scaling-up renewables-based clean cooking: Raising ambitions for achieving 2030 agenda and climate action

IRENA, in partnership with the Health and Energy Platform of Action, hosted a roundtable discussion on the role of renewables-based clean cooking solutions in achieving SDG 7 and actions needed to scale-up investments.

The roundtable convened industry leaders, financing institutions, government representatives, academia and development partners to share experiences and insights from initiatives and programmes across different regions. It was also an opportunity to showcase innovations in policy, financing, community engagement and technology design that are enhancing access to renewables-based clean cooking solutions and offer important levers for scaling-up progress towards the universal access goals.

The roundtable took place a day prior to the Clean Cooking Forum 2022.
