Validation Workshop - Lebanon

IRENA and the Lebanese Center for Energy Conservation (LCEC) are producing a joint study – the Renewable Energy Outlook for Lebanon. This two-day validation workshop included national and regional stakeholders from government, private sector, academia, international organisations and civil society with the objective of consolidating the challenges and their corresponding recommendations identified throughout the consultative process, based on the three key themes identified in the multi-stakeholder working groups: Policy, Institutional and Regulatory, Resources, Technology and Grid Infrastructure, and Financing and the Role of the Private Sector. In addition, the workshop included the announcement of the 'Post-Outlook Action Group' which will operationalise the recommended actions of the REOutlook report.
