Technical Validation Meeting for the Central Africa Renewable Energy Action Agenda

Upon the request from the General Secretariat of the Economic Community of Central African States (ECCAS), IRENA has supported Central Africa in drawing up a Regional Action Agenda to define the actions to promote renewable energy. In this framework, IRENA, ECCAS and the Government of Rwanda hosted a regional workshop to validate the draft regional action agenda by experts from ECCAS Member States and relevant partner institutions, prior to its submission for Ministerial approval. The meeting was attended by representatives of the Ministries of the ECCAS region as well as relevant regional bodies and development partners.
