Deep Dive Workshop: Scaling-up solar PV deployment at the ADB Asian Clean Energy Forum 2018

The Deep Dive Workshop (DDW) shared the best practices in assuring quality for PV systems based on experts’ experience as well as the Agency’s tools and guidelines on how to develop PV projects based on an assured quality. Approaches that support the development of bankable renewable energy projects and quality infrastructure for different types of PV markets were showcased, with particular emphasis on regions with extreme weather conditions, and needs and priorities of stakeholders in these fields identified.

The Asia Clean Energy Forum (ACEF) 2018 was held at the Headquarters of the Asian Development Bank (ADB) in Manila during the week of 4-8 June 2018. ACEF is one of the leading clean energy events in the Asia region, and it focuses on bringing together practitioners and implementers to identify, discuss and address the key clean energy challenges face in the region.

ACEF is jointly organized by the Asian Development Bank (ADB), the U.S. Agency for International Development (USAID), and the Korea Energy Agency (KEA). Requested by ADB in recognition of the growing importance of this topic, IRENA co-organize a half-day Deep Dive Workshop (DDW) with the ACEF organizers focused in the development of a sound quality infrastructure for solar PV.
