Training Workshop on VRE Grid Integration Studies and Power System Modelling
IRENA, in cooperation with the Pacific Power Association, organised a hands-on workshop to train utility engineers in Pacific islands in the use of power system analysis software tools. The application of the tools will enable the countries to plan for the integration of high shares of renewable energy resources, especially wind and solar, into electricity grids and facilitate their efforts towards achieving the targets of their national policies and nationally determined contributions (NDCs).
