Renewable Energy Data Collection and Processing Workshop for South Africa

This three-day technical workshop on renewable energy data collection, processing, and management was prepared and conducted by IRENA, in collaboration with the International Energy Agency (IEA), the Danish Energy Agency, and South Africa’s Department of Energy.

The participants included the Department of Energy of South Africa, who is currently developing a public Renewable Energy Data and Information Service (REDIS) and requested the training. The purpose of the training was to strengthen the knowledge, skills, and analytical abilities in the field of renewable energy data collection, processing and management, and improve data delivery.
