IRENA Sustainable Energy Marketplace for Renewable Energy

The pre-launch event gave an introduction to IRENA’s Sustainable Energy Marketplace, which initially focuses on Eastern and Southern African countries, but will soon cover the rest of Africa, Latin America and Caribbean. IRENA gave an overview of the benefits of the platform to 80 participants and demonstrated how the marketplace works and how users can register. Participants were project owners, financiers, governments, and service and technology providers, including both private and public entities.
