The objective of this webinar was to present facts and opinions on renewable energy technologies and their climate change mitigation potential in an easy to understand and credible manner. The aim was to provide the general public with a better understanding of renewable energy’s role as a large-scale climate change mitigation solution and to evaluate the options and levels of renewable energy deployment required to stay below the 2°C global warming levels. The webinar also provided direct feedback and recommendations from the renewable energy industry on their ability to deliver the required levels of deployment and, to which extent and in which form, policies are required to achieve these levels.
