Inception Workshop, IRENA-CNREC, Renewable energy costing and policy impact assessment

The International Renewable Energy Agency (IRENA) has been cooperating with the China National Renewable Energy Center (CNREC) within the scope of IRENA’s REmap 2030 programme. REmap 2030 aims to provide technological options for achieving the objective of doubling the global renewable energy share by 2030 through close cooperation with countries. A REmap report for China was released in November 2014.

The workshop gave IRENA and the CNREC an opportunity to discuss ways that the two organisations can further their cooperation and understanding of renewable energy costing and policy impact assessment.

The workshop was co-hosted by IRENA and CNREC, with the support from GIZ’s “Sino-German Climate Partnership and Cooperation on Renewable Energies Programme,” funded by the German Federal Ministry for the Environment, Nature Conservation, Building and Nuclear Safety (BMUB).
