Asia-Pacific Regional Workshop on Biomass Energy Resource Assessment

A three-day capacity building workshop was co-organised by IRENA and the Asian and Pacific Centre for Transfer of Technology (APCTT) of the United Nations Economic and Social Commission for Asia and the Pacific (UN-ESCAP), with the support of the Ministry of Science and Technology of the Royal Thai Government. Around 40 experts from 16 countries in the region and 3 international and regional organisations gathered and discussed enhancing knowledge on bioenergy resource assessments and building institutional capacity, providing training on various methodologies, tools and techniques, sharing regional experiences and best practices, and creating a pool of experts and international training initiatives for developing bioenergy in the region.
