Expert Consultation on Best Practices in Bioenergy Data Collection and Estimation
This consultation brought together a working group of experts from select countries and international organizations to share their experience of various approaches to bioenergy data collection and provide inputs to the new IRENA guidance on bioenergy statistics that is currently under development. Key topics discussed included: the classification and structure of bioenergy statistics; the design and implementation of surveys for bioenergy data collection; the use of administrative data sources; and Imputation Methods. The outputs from the workshop will be documented and included in the guidebook to be shared with a wider audience.
