IRENA’s Country Support and Partnerships (CSP) division assists countries and regions in accelerating the introduction of renewable energy. IRENA works with a wide variety of public and private stakeholders on developing and implementing strategies to achieve a greater share of renewables worldwide. Flagship activities include Renewables Readiness Assessments (RRAs), which offer a country-led approach to identify priority actions to boost renewable energy deployment, with buy-in from all key stakeholders. In addition, through the Global Renewable Energy Islands Network (GREIN), clusters of islands are working together on resource assessment, power grid applications, and technology deployment roadmaps, among other thematic areas. IRENA is also, in cooperation with a wide range of stakeholders, developing a Renewable Energy Policy Advice Network (REPAN), which will enable countries to connect with renewable energy experts and practitioners across the world for technical assistance and advice.
