European Geothermal Congress

Organised every 3 years, the European Geothermal Congress is the largest geothermal event in Europe. Hosting a variety of events for different stakeholders, it creates a unique opportunity for those working in different aspects of geothermal — whether academic, industrial or societal — to come together. The congress is organised by the European Geothermal Energy Council (EGEC), which is the trade association for geothermal energy in Europe.

The 2016 edition offered a platform to organise the GGA Meeting on Risk Mitigation and Project Financing. It was held in Strasbourg, France, on 20 September 2016 and attracted almost 40 representatives from governments, Global Geothermal Alliance Members, industry associations, and project developers.
