This event, co-organised with the Pacific Power Association, is composed of several segments: a two-day training for utility engineers from the Pacific Islands on planning and implementation of renewable energy and energy storage projects for small isolated systems, a networking day, and a two-day international conference where experts will discuss the latest developments of power systems in small isolated areas. The event intends to showcase a pragmatic approach to planning renewable projects and power system transformations, in line with the objectives of the SIDS Lighthouses Initiative. Participants will have a unique opportunity to share their experience and interact with persons that have successfully planned and implemented the transformation of small power systems in Rottnest Island, other isolated areas of Australia and North America.
