IRENA at Beijing Renewable Energy Investments Summit and China Wind Power 2019

Global Wind Energy Council and its partners China Wind Energy Association (CWEA) and China Renewable Energy Industry Association (CREIA) organised the Beijing Renewable Energy Investment Summit on the occasion of China Wind Power 2019. The investments summit on 21 October enabled the discussion about the investment trends that are shaping the energy transition and investment around the world. China Wind Power (CWP) is one of the most influential events in the energy world with the presence of main authorities and global stakeholders of the wind sector (manufactures, developers and investors).

IRENA Director-General Franceco La Camera delivered a keynote speech in Beijing Renewable Energy Summit on 21 October, addressing the role of renewable energy in global energy transition and in fighting global climate change, and IRENA’s publication Future of Wind report was launched at the Innovation theater of China Wind Power event On 22 October.
