Councillor Moritz Leuenberger signed the Statue on 27 May 2009

During his trip to Germany on 27 May 2009 Mr. Moritz Leuenberger, Federal Councillor and Head of the Federal Department of the Environment, Transport, Energy and Communications, signed IRENA´s Statute at the Federal Foreign Office. The Federal Minister for Environment, Nature Conservation and Nuclear Safety, Mr. Sigmar Gabriel and the Secretary of State at the Federal Foreign Office, Mr. Heinrich Tiemann, were present at the signing. Switzerland is thus IRENA’s 83rd Signatory State.
