New Member for IRENA – Islamic Republic of Mauritania signed the Statute

While IRENA prepares for the second session of the Preparatory Commission, which will be held at the end of June in Egypt, the Islamic Republic of Mauritania joined the Agency today. The Statute of IRENA was signed by the Ambassador of the Islamic Republic of Mauritania in Germany, S.E. Mamadou Diakité, in the German Foreign Office in Berlin. Mr. Viktor Elbling, Deputy Director-General responsible for International Energy Policy, Globalization and Sustainable Development, was present for the signing. Mauritania hereby becomes the 79th Member of IRENA.
