Release of IRENA’s ‘Egypt Renewable Energy Outlook’ will be key focus of co-organised three-day conference in Cairo next month.
Adnan Z. Amin, Director-General of the International Renewable Energy Agency (IRENA) met today with H.E. Abdel Fattah el-Sisi, President of Egypt, in Cairo. They discussed opportunities for accelerated renewable energy deployment in Egypt as well as cooperation between Egypt and the Agency. Egypt currently holds the presidency of the IRENA Assembly.
During the meeting, Director-General Amin and President Sisi discussed Egypt’s remarkable progress in the pursuit of large-scale renewable energy deployment and identified areas in which bilateral cooperation can be strengthened.
