IRENA jointly with the Department of Renewable Energy of the Ministry of Economic Affairs of Bhutan Government, launched the Renewable Readiness Assessment (RRA) for the Kingdom of Bhutan.
The event brought together renewable energy stakeholders in the Republic of Moldova, for the launch of the RRA report and discussion on potential follow-up activities building on the recommendations of the report.
IRENA launched its Renewables Readiness Assessment Pakistan report, conducted jointly with Pakistan's Alternative Energy Development Board, in the hope of broadening engagement with stakeholders, including governmental agencies, sub-national governmental authorities, industries, academic institutions, and the key development partners in the potential follow-up initiatives building on the key findings and recommendations in the report. Following the RRA Launch, an IRENA delegation visited the South Asian Association for Regional Cooperation Energy Centre to discuss bilateral co-operation.
Jointly with the Ministry of Energy (MoE) of Azerbaijan and the State Agency on Alternative and Renewable Energy Sources (SAARES), IRENA will officially launch the Renewables Readiness Assessment (RRA) report for the Republic of Azerbaijan.
The main findings and recommendations of the report, developed by the Ministry of Energy of the Kyrgyz Republic with the support of IRENA and UNDP, were shared with the participants.
