The World Scientific and Engineering Congress (WSEC) was held from 19-20 June 2017 as part of EXPO 2017, which has the theme of “Future Energy”. The focus of the WSEC was “Energy of the Future: Innovative scenarios and implementation methods”. In support of EXPO 2017 and the WSEC, IRENA organized a roundtable covering “REmap: Global Renewable Energy Outlook”.
The IRENA roundtable consisted of two sessions, which included presentations from subject matter experts, questions from the audience and discussions with the presenters moderated by Dolf Gielen, Director IRENA Innovation and Technology Centre. The topic of each session along with the available presentations are given below. The roundtable agenda is available via this link.
Session 1: “REmap: Global Energy Transition Prospects and the Role of Renewables”.
